So far we have lived in Managua, Nicaragua for 2 1/2 years. My life here as a missionary wife has been a very busy and interesting one. We came here in July 1999. We have met many wonderful people and have visited many different places. The Nicaraguan people are very kind. Sometimes people think that because we are missionaries we are "special" people. But, although we are special to God we are no different than anybody else. When we first came here I was scared to death! For the first few weeks I was even afraid to drive by myself. For those of you who know me you know that I love being independent, but at first I was too overwhelmed by the differences here. Not a problem now!
We like to do many of the same things that you like to do. It's hot here year round so we can go to the beach in December and even go swimming without freezing to death! I like to shop, right now I "window" shop on the internet. I love to be on the internet, it is my window to the world. I also love animals, we have a cat and a dog. I like to sew, do crafts, and help out at our kids' school. |

When you check here to see the weather please pray for us especially if the weather is really intense that day. It tends to be extremely hot and muggy, there are days you just can't seem to escape the heat. Also there are days of extreme storms that can be a bit alarming especially for us California people. Thank God He is in it all!!!!
